The famed writer/artist/videogame creator makes rare appearance at a major convention
Juan, Puerto Rico – Not one to frequent the convention circuit, the influential Joe “Mad” Madureira breaks the silence and will be the featured special guest at the Puerto Rico Comic Con (PRCC), the Caribbean region’s largest and most important pop culture event, to be held on May 26 and 27 at the Puerto Rico Convention Center.
Madureira, an industry veteran and pioneer best known for his work on Marvel Comics' Uncanny X-Men and his creator-owned comic book Battle Chasers, as well as for his work on the hugely successful videogame franchise Darksiders, will headline PRCC and share his knowledge, experiences, stories, anecdotes, and work with the fans.
“We are deeply honored that Joe Mad chose to be a part of the Puerto Rico Comic Con,” said Ricardo Carrión, executive producer of the event. “His work in the entertainment world is significant and his voice in comic books and videogames has set the tone in the industry. Conventioneers will surely benefit from his insights. Also, Madureira’s participation in PRCC reaffirms the event’s importance in the convention circuit. We invite fans from all over to come down to sunny Puerto Rico and enjoy this unique and special treat.”
Madureira will join the rest of the PRCC guest lineup, which includes comic book artist Greg Capullo; Jason David Frank, MMA fighter and former Power Ranger; and voice actor Liam O’Brien, among many others.
